NATIONAL Universities Commission (NUC) has called on Nigerian experts in the diaspora to partner with the Nigerian universities in order to improve education in the country.
Executive Secretary of NUC, Professor Julius Okojie, made the call in London at a conference tagged: “Linkages with Nigerian Experts and Academics in Diaspora (LEAD).”
Professor Okojie said the declining state of Nigerian universities was affecting the quality of graduates the institutions churned out, declaring that a survey carried out by the NUC showed that the country was producing unemployable graduates.
“In a survey the NUC carried out, it was discovered that only 20 per cent of Nigerian graduates were employable,” he said.
